Coding Blocks is proud to announce that all batches of Algo++ and Launchpad across our Delhi centres have been completely filled for the August session. In light of a large number of requests from enthusiastic students raring to learn, we have decided to start one special batch each for the two courses. The evening batch for Algo++ at the Pitampura centre starts September 10. The morning batch for Launchpad at the Dwarka centre starts September 23. Registrations are open. After a hugely successful online course on C++, Coding Blocks takes great pride in launching Elixir Live, a unique online course to help you gain expertise in web development using Node.Js. The course will be a mix of live classes and pre-recorded videos. The course will be conducted by Arnav Gupta, who has previously worked as a developer with Micromax, Cyanogen, Sony and Cube26 and has been a speaker at international conferences like JSFoo, DroidCon and many more. CODE-N-COUNTER 2.0
After a very successful first edition last year, Nagarro and Coding Blocks came together again in 2017 to organize Code-N-Counter 2.0, the second edition of Nagarro's annual coding hackathon. The online round of Code-N-Counter was held on HackerEarth on August 19 and saw a participation of over 4500 teams. The top 100 teams were called for the final round to be held at the Nagarro HQ in Gurugram on September 2 and 3. The two day finale saw teams from various corners of the country, with ingenious ideas and implementations. The event was indeed a success.

OPEN SOURCE AND GSOC MEETUP
Coding Blocks will be organizing an exclusive meetup for open source enthusiasts and GSoC aspirants on September 10. The meetup will be held at our Dwarka Centre and will cover all doubts and questions regarding open source development, GSoC participation, GSoC mentorship, other projects and any other doubts that the attendees might have. The meetup will be conducted by multiple GSoCers and GSoC mentors from the Coding Blocks team.

GAME DEVELOPMENT BOOTCAMP
Coding Blocks is pleased to announce the ultimate Game Development Bootcamp for enthusiastic game developers and enthusiasts starting September 25 at our Pitampura centre. Students will be taught to build games from scratch using Javascript and Phaser, a popular game framework for building 2-D games. The only knowledge required for this course is some basic programming in C++/Java or any language of your choice. Registrations have started, enrol now!

WEBINARS AND CODELAB ORGANIZED
MACHINE LEARNING
Coding Blocks organized a Live Webinar on our YouTube channel on August 2 to help our followers with Basic Machine Learning. The webinar was conducted by Prateek Narang and Shubham Kumar and attended live by machine learning enthusiasts and budding coders from across the country. TYPESCRIPT
Arnav Gupta, founding member of Coding Blocks, conducted a Live Webinar on our YouTube channel on August 6 to help our followers with starting with TypeScript. In this webinar viewers were taught to progressively move from Javascript to TypeScript, and take advantage of the strong typing system provided by TypeScript in both frontend as well as Node.Js projects. DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING
Coding Blocks organized a Live Webinar  on our YouTube channel on August 15 on the topic of Dynamic Programming with Bitmasking. In this webinar, students were taught how to represent a DP state in the form of bitmask and complex questions from Codechef, CodeForces etc were covered. Algorithms like Travelling Salesman Problem, N-Queen using Bitmasks and a few more were also covered. The webinar was conducted by Prateek Narang, one of the founding members of Coding Blocks. PYTHON FOR WEB
Coding Blocks organized a four hour long Python For Web Codelab on August 12 at the Pitampura centre. The codelab was conducted by Nikhil Kumar Singh and attended by almost seventy enthusiastic students. Topics such as introduction to requests library, working with APIs, get and post requests, web scraping using requests and beautiful soup, web crawling using scrapy and intro to selenium webdriver were covered in the codelab. It was a free and open for all codelab and was thoroughly enjoyed by the attendees.

UPCOMING COURSES
After succesfull commencement of all batches at Greater Noida, we at Coding Blocks have been receiving many requests for new batches at the Greater Noida centre. Keeping in mind the increasing enthusiasm, Coding Blocks is proud to announce that we will be starting fresh batches of Launchpad and Crux in the first week of October. With more and more students wanting to join in, we feel that starting new batches is the best way forward. Admissions opening soon, keep an eye on our Facebook page for the same. 
FREE WORKSHOPS AT GREATER NOIDA CENTRE
In the month of August, Coding Blocks organized a few free workshops at our Greater Noida Centre to introduce college students to various technologies, as well as make them accustomed with the same. On August 12, Anuj Garg conducted a workshop on the topic of Getting Started With Open Source. The workshop covered topics such as hands-on Git, GitHub, preparation and applications for GSoC and Outreachy. On August 20, Nipun Jain and Harpreet Singh conducted parallel workshops on the topics of Hands-on Android and Game Development respectively. The Android workshop covered topics such as building blocks, activities, content providers and services while the Game Development workshop covered HTML 5, JavaScript and Canvas. All workshops were met with a resounding response, and attended by completely filled halls.
WORKSHOPS AT GLBITM AND JSSATE
In a bid to reach out to college students and teach them the importance and features of open source development, Coding Blocks organized free workshops at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management on August 19 and at JSS Academy of Technical Education on August 25. The topic for both these workshops was Getting Started With Open Source and the workshops were conducted by Anuj Garg, Harpreeet Singh and Aayush Arora from the CB team. Both workshops were met with a resounding response, and were attended with fervour as students filled their seminar halls in big numbers at both colleges. The students were told about the birth of open source, its benefits,  hands-on Git and GitHub and preparation and applications for GSoC and Outreachy. Various pre-existing doubts and confusions in the minds of the student attendees were also cleared.
OTHER EVENTS
FUCHCHA EVENING
Coding Blocks organized a casual meetup for first year students of Delhi Technological University at the stall of the campus's most famous person, Maggi Baba. The session was held for friendly discussions between first year students, seniors and alumni wherein students were allowed to clarify any doubts that they had. Topics ranged from placements and projects to hostel life and co-curriculars. The students were also served Maggi and tea/juice at the session. The session helped young students get to know their seniors, and clarify their doubts. It was enjoyed thoroughly by all.
AI CHATBOT BOOTCAMP
Coding Blocks organized a Chatbot Automation Bootcamp at our Pitampura Centre from August 28 to 31. The bootcamp was attended by a room full of enthusiastic students and was conducted by Nikhil Kumar. The bootcamp covered topics such as Basic Facebook messenger echo bot, API.AI/WIT.AI integration, MongoDB integration, Facebook messenger templates, buttons, quick replies, and chatbot deployment on Herokuto Python among others. UPCOMING EVENT AT DTU
Coding Blocks has partnered with E-Cell DTU for their upcoming event, Startup Weekend Delhi (DTU) to be held from September 8 to 10. It will be a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation.
