The goal of Google STEP is to help students from diverse backgrounds get a head start in tech. You'll learn new skills, work on fun projects, and get a closer look at what it's like to work at Google!

Internship Period: Between May and August

To apply for the Google STEP Internship 2025, candidates must meet the following Google STEP eligibility requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program, majoring or intending to major in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
Ability to communicate in English fluently to actively participate in technical discussions.

The following are preferred qualifications for candidates applying to the Google STEP Internship 2025:

Currently enrolled in a full time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship.
Ability to complete a full-time, 10-12 week internship between May and August 2025 (exact program dates will be provided at a later point in the process).
Excellent programming skills (e.g., C++, Java, Python).

Shortlisting of candidates based on their resumes

Online Assessment (OA)

A coding test with 3 problems to assess programming skills.

Technical Round 1

Interview focusing on basic to medium-difficulty problems

Technical Round 2

Interview with medium to advanced difficulty problems

Google STEP Stipend: 60,000-70,000/ Month
